Michael Seifert is a multi-platinum award winning producer, recording and mixing engineer, arranger, and composer. He, and his work, has been featured in major publications including Mix Magazine, EQ, Modern Drummer, Billboard, Source, and Pro Audio News, among others. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist (drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals) he has a keen ability for achieving tonal balance where it should be achieved: at the source.
Extremely versatile, Michael’s credits include work in a wide range of styles. He has had the privilege of working for and with bands and artists including Island/Def Jam recording artist Gentlemen Hall, internet sensation Nicholas Megalis, Tori Amos, Fountains of Wayne, Regina Spektor, Lifehouse, Colbie Caillat, Gerald Levert, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Neil Zaza, Too Short, Eightball, Pimp C (UGK), Chuck Mosley (Faith No More), Guided by Voices, Cobra Verde, J. Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), Sad Planets (Patrick Carney of The Black Keys), Kate Voegele, blues legend Robert Lockwood Jr., Mr. Gnome, Sweet Apple, critically acclaimed Jazz man Ernie Krivda, and countless others.
In addition to his work with bands and artists, Michael has scored independent films and major motion pictures including Running America (NEHST) and Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders: The Complete Novel (Warner Brothers/American Zoetrope). He has also provided original score for special features and documentaries including work on The Godfather (The Coppola Restoration), Bram Stoker’s Dracula (Special Edition), and the Apocalypse Now documentary “Heart of Darkness”. Additionally, Michael has composed, recorded, produced, and performed on music for Fox, CBS, MTV, American Greetings, Sports Illustrated, The Cleveland International Film Festival and the SXSW Film Festival among others.
